Reunite

Privacy Policy

Effective 11 September 2026 Applies to the Reunite iOS app

Reunite helps you practise the IELTS Life Skills A1 speaking and listening test with an AI examiner and partner. This policy explains, plainly, what the app does with your voice and your practice data — and, just as importantly, what it never does.

The short version

1Who we are

Reunite (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is an independent practice app. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at reunite.help.line@gmail.com.

2What we collect, and why

We collect only what the app needs to run a practice test and give you feedback.

DataWhyWhere it goes
Your voicewhile you answer To turn your spoken answers into text so the test can continue and be scored. Transcribed on your device by Apple's speech recognition. The audio is not uploaded or kept.
The text of your answers To show your transcript, drive the conversation, and generate your feedback. Sent to our server and stored with your attempt, and sent to Anthropic (a third-party AI provider) to generate the partner's replies and your feedback.
Practice results(verdict, the three fixes, per-skill notes) To show your feedback and your past attempts. Stored with your attempt.
Anonymous identifier To keep your own attempts together on your device. Created by anonymous sign-in. Not linked to your identity.
Purchase recordonly if you buy unlimited practice To unlock unlimited practice and let you restore it later. The App Store transaction ID and product, stored with your anonymous identifier. Apple processes the payment — we never receive your card or Apple Account details.
Chosen language& basic app settings To show instructions and feedback in your language. Stored on your device.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise location, or payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. Reunite contains no advertising.

3Your voice, specifically

Because this is a speaking test, the app needs your microphone. When you hold the button to speak, your device's built-in speech recognition converts what you say into text locally, on the device. We designed the app to use on-device recognition, so the recording of your voice does not leave your phone and is not stored by us.

Only the resulting text — your answer as written words — is sent to our service to continue the test and produce your feedback. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device Settings; the app will not be able to run a test without it.

4Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the app. They process data only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy and security commitments.

5How long we keep it, and your choices

We keep your attempts so you can review your progress, until you delete them.

To delete all of your data, open the app and tap Delete my data on the Home screen. This permanently removes your attempts, transcripts, feedback, purchase record and anonymous identifier from our servers. If you bought unlimited practice, tap Restore Purchases afterwards to unlock it again — your purchase itself is held by Apple.

Because there is no account, we cannot tell which data is yours from an email alone, so deletion is done in the app. Deleting the app from your phone also removes the only link between you and your stored data. For any other request, email reunite.help.line@gmail.com.

Anthropic and ElevenLabs process requests to provide their service and may keep request data for a limited period under their own policies, for example for security and abuse monitoring.

6Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to stored data is protected by per-user security rules so that one person's attempts are not visible to another. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7Children

Reunite is intended for adults preparing for an English language test and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

8International users

The app is used by people in many countries. Your data may be processed and stored on servers in the United States by the providers listed above. By using the app you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.

9Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles your data, we will update this policy and change the effective date at the top. If we change what is shared with third parties, or with whom, the app will ask for your permission again.
